NBS offers two semesters per year of approximately five months each – to see current dates, please check out the Academic Calendar. Students may come for either one semester or a full academic year. Each semester starts with an orientation meeting for the internationals where the students can get to know each other, NBS and the surroundings.
Please be aware: Your travel plans must be made according to the semester dates (late arrival or early departure can prevent you from successfully completing a semester abroad).
Winter Semester
The winter semester starts on 15 September and ends on 28 February (classes and exams end 31 January) of each year.
During Christmas and New Year's holidays no lectures or exams take place.
Summer Semester
The summer semester starts on 15 March and ends on 31 August (classes and exams end 31 July) of each year.
Nomination and Registration Deadlines
If you are an Erasmus student, your university has to nominate you before you can register.
The nomination deadlines are:
- Winter Semester: 1 August
- Summer Semester: 1 February
The registration deadlines for all incoming students are:
- Winter Semester: 15 August
- Summer Semester: 15 February
