The International Office is there for you – before, during and after your time at NBS. A big advantage of a "small" private school like NBS is the direct link between each staff member and the students. Not only the International Office, but everyone working at NBS – from the administration to the examination office and the chancellor – is happy to help if you have any questions during your stay in Hamburg.

In order to guarantee a personal and individual support for you, we have created our buddy program. NBS students will welcome you at NBS and help you find your way around during the first days and weeks of your stay in Hamburg. They will be your personal contact person for all questions you might have.

We organize a welcome day for all international students at the beginning of each semester and ask all students to attend. You will receive all relevant documents as well as information about studying at NBS and living in Hamburg. The international students will also meet the buddies and each other for the first time.

We started a Facebook group for our previous, current and future international students to connect with each other. You can use it to share your experience of living in Hamburg and studying at NBS and to give each other tips regarding accommodation, places to see, good bars etc. You can find the Facebook group here.

If you want to meet other international students spending a semester at one of Hamburg's many universities, check out the Erasmus Student Network. ESN Hamburg meets regularly to do things together like a Kieztour, soccer games, movie nights or a joint trip to Berlin.
